Umm this place was an unexpected surprise, we went to Ihop (which I love) the day before and this was beyond better. The amount of food was huge and at a much lower cost. My bf and I were wondering if we were just maybe really hungry to the point that anything would taste good. So to make sure we came back a week later and we were confident this place was amazing. We both ordered the 333, and ate there. Highly recommend, diamond in the rough.
Upon first glance the exterior of this establishment does not appear to be anything to ga at. Lackluster even. Upon entering, you get this Homie vibe, kind of reminds you of the local place it’s always been open around your house. It’s actually interesting the story behind the place, but for another time. On this dining adventure I had a country fried steak, gravy on the side, with no hashbrowns but extra eggs. I will say that they were able to accommodate my order which is pretty sweet. What’s up places you go to don’t want to change their menu items at all. I think it was really nice that they were able to accommodate my keto. The steak was fried really nice, really thick breading. The eggs were done well as well. I would give this please the seal of approval. Open 24 hours especially probably really nice on drunk nights.
I came late at night and Donna, Martin and Marcos showed me great food and service. Johnny’s grill has great food and great service 24/7. I highly recommend them to all my friends and business partners. Thank you for your service to Melrose Park.
The server was lovely and the food was fantastic. I got the BLT with some fries and my favorite person got a grilled cheese with some soup. We were both satisfied, thank you guys 🫰
Food is good. Services was prompt. I order a ground beef burrito. For them to ground -the- beef it was fast to make and serve. Took 4 minutes

Great diner with excellent service. I had BLT and hubby had the Big Boy burger. Just had waters to drink and it was reasonably priced at $22ish. Hubby actually went back in after he paid because he thought he was under charged. Been driving by this place for years and glad we stopped in to eat. This is a busy place so there might be a wait. Hubby and eat out frequently had this place’s whole menu is very reasonably priced.

The omelette was disappointing but what should I have expected for $9? The egg was thinly sliced and wrapped over just dices of ham. The cheese was barely there and the orange was fine. I appreciate the ambiance and staff for their hospitality over everything else. I’m so happy this place was available since I get the munchies after going to the club. Cheap food sometimes just hits the spot- does that make sense?
My absolute family favorite!!! Their food is way better than your average diner that’s super inexpensive. We got all of this food just shy away of $40!!! The lady that takes our order is a sweetheart. I highly recommend their BLT with fries, Denver omelette, combos, C-3, soups, hobo skillet, western skillet and biscuits and gravy!! Also for kids I would recommend their Mickey Mouse pancake!
